Happy Birthday to Kylie

Kylie turned three a little more than a week ago while we were vacationing in Lake Tahoe with the Kettley family. She had a Mickey Mouse Party with her cousins. They played "pin the nose on mickey", freeze dance, and we had a pull string pinata. She wore Minnie Mouse ears and her cousins wore Mickey Mouse ears. We had ice cream cake, Mickey Mouse sugar cookies, and some goodie bags for the cousins to enjoy.

When we sang Happy Birthday to Kylie she was so excited. She put her hands in the air and had a huge smile on her face. It was so fun for me to watch her excitement.

On our way to Target this morning, Kylie and I had this conversation.

Kylie: Oh no, where’s my hat?
Me: I think you left it at home. You can wear it when we get home.
Kylie: But I want to put my ponytail through the little hole.
Me: I'm sorry sweetie, but you can do that when we get home.
Kylie: But my ponytail is scared.
Me trying to distract her from the missing hat: Kylie, do you want to listen to your music? We can sing the wheels on the bus!
Kylie: No, I’m whining a lot right now.
